    Garden Club Activities
  • The highlight of our club's annual projects is the Home and Garden Tour, which began in 1947 as a fundraiser to replace area trees decimated by Dutch elm disease. Held in June, the three-day event often brings over 2500 visitors to Hudson. The Tour owes its success to the tremendous support of over 500 volunteers. Proceeds are used for the care and replacement of community trees, grants, and to fund the Genevieve Jyurovat Scholarship named in honor of the member who initiated and chaired the Tour for many years. The scholarship is offered to students pursuing an education in horticulture or environmental science.
  • Adult educational programs and workshops with noted horticultural guest speakers
