Garden Club Activities
- The highlight of our group's annual projects is the Home and Garden Tour, an event which began in 1947 as a fundraiser to buy and plant trees after the decimation of many area elm trees by Dutch Elm Disease. Held in June, the three-day event often brings over 2,500 visitors to Hudson. The Tour owes its success to the tremendous support of over 800 volunteers from the community. Proceeds from the Tour are used for the care and replacement of trees, and the Genevieve Jyurovat Scholarship, which is offered to students pursuing an education in the areas of horticulture and environmental preservation.
